Ben and Paula – Wedding in Ravello

Every time I have to shoot a wedding in Ravello I know that it will be an extraordinary experience, a wedding in Amalfitan Coast always has something special.

When Ben and Paula contacted me, I immediately understood that I would remember their wedding forever: a beautiful couple in love, both from Australia and always smiling; an amazing location in one of most spectacular places in the world; the love of parents, relatives and friends for this Australian wedding in Italy…what could I ask more?

I had a beautiful surprise indeed, something that would have made this experience even more unforgettable: Laura Barbera, a special friend of mine and one of my favorite wedding photographer, accepted to be with me as second photographer.

I was excited and I couldn’t wait to live this wedding in Ravello!

After a long trip we have reached the Amalfitan Coast the day before the wedding both for not being too tired and for spending some hours in Positano and Amalfi.

Finally the wedding day, all the colors, flavors and atmosphere you can find in Ravello during a fantastic day of middle August.

We met the couple at the Caruso Hotel, this is my favorite one for wedding in Ravello: from here you have an incredible view on the Amalfitan coast and both the getting ready and the ceremony and dinner would have been here.

Ben and Paula went to their rooms to get ready with their friends and we followed them, the atmosphere was really buzzing and full of love.

The ceremony was set up on one of the terraces of the garden, from here the view was breathtaking and all the guests were touched.

After the ceremony we took a walk around Ravello streets, between shops and tourists, but mostly we spent time at Villa Caruso.

Villa Rufolo is a historical building in the heart of Ravello, famous for its gardens and its position who offers some of most spectaculars landscapes of Amalfitan Coast.

After the couple portraits we went back to Caruso Hotel for the aperitivo, where all the guests were waiting for us!

At  the sunset and before the dinner we went to take some pictures to the infinity pool of Caruso Hotel, here the water and the sky merge and people seem to dream.

The dinner was set up on one of the Hotel’s terrace under lemon trees from where you can enjoy a spectacular view. As usual during the dinner there were various speeches and toasts, both the guests and us cried and laughed.

After the dinner all we moved to the pool for cake cutting and party.

The wedding day was going to end but it would leave an indelible memory in my heart.
